“The home was a big, beautiful bungalow, offering spacious family living on a 931sq m block,” he said.

“It was beautifully presented, but had scope for people to renovate or add their own touches.

“It was also in a great location, on the border between City Beach and Floreat, and only two minutes from the Floreat Forum Shopping Centre and four minutes from the beach.”

Mr Clements said the property was sold using the open negotiation sales method.

“The first home open saw 84 groups visit the home (a record for Mint) and 10 buyers registered to bid on the home.

“The initial bid was $1.025 million and over the next four days, eight different buyers made increasing bids, and once it met reserve it went on to sell for $1.4 million after just a total of six days on the market.”

Mr Clements said the sellers were over the moon with the result, which occurred while they were away on holiday.

“While it was a great result for the sellers, it was also good for the buyers,” he said.

“They were happy to have beaten out the competition to secure the property, knowing they didn’t over-pay, because they could see what other buyers were bidding over the course of the sale and knew what the bid below them was.”
