Keepsakes are comforting

The couple’s Rockingham business, Flowers to Remember, has been running for two months and offers the unique service of turning clothes and accessories into keepsakes.

Mrs McGee says she understands how hard it is to let go of clothes, which often hold memories.

‘The pain and grief one goes through can be unbearable and some people find it too agonising to touch the things their loved ones touched and to give or throw away their clothes,’ she said.

‘We want to capture that person’s character in every keepsake we make, so we always like to speak to the families and try to incorporate their memories into the design.’
