They will face tough competition from local rider Cameron Stronach, who has just won back-to-back WA Superbike Championships and is keen to finish the season with the Kings title ” a title that runs in his family with uncles Trevor and Stuart Adams, brother Ben and father Murray as previous winners.

Anthony McFadden and Adam Senior will also be ones to watch with their home track knowledge.

In the Australian Sidecar Championships, only four points separate Jason and Brett James in first on 127 points and Ron Marten and Damien Edis in second on 123.

Marten and Edis are also well placed to take the F2 title with the absence of leaders Glenn and Andrew West, while Chrissie Clancy and Leanne March are third on 108.

This year’s State Supersport Championship winner Adam Chambers will be looking to secure the 600 Supersport Challenge Cup but will come under pressure from Thyron Van Vuuren and Edgewater rider Sam Clarke.

Van Vuuren and Clarke are also competing in the four-stroke 250 production class alongside NSW teenager Brandon Demmery.

Tim Boujos leads the series on 27 points ahead of Vinnie Chew.

In the 125 GP class, new local championship winner Scott Pettit will be fending off Graham Jeans and Nathan Smith.

Practice on Saturday starts at 9am with qualifying and racing in the afternoon.

On Sunday, warm-up sessions start at 9am, with racing under way from 10.20am.
