BARKING MAD

Staff ReporterWanneroo Times

I AGREE with Gary Snowball about the problem we have with neighbours’ dogs barking and howling all hours of the day and night.

We have the same problem and it is right outside our bedroom window. I have spoken to the owners concerned several times, but nothing is done to rectify the problem.

I left “The Dog Act” notice in her letterbox, but was told she would pay the fine if taken to court. I contacted the council, but was told I needed to fill out a seven-day diary.

However, sometimes the dogs don’t bark seven consecutive days in a row and I would need a medical certificate from a doctor.

I don’t need a piece of paper to tell me it drives you insane having to listen to this all the time.

I think there should also be laws about cat owners keeping their cats in at night, as a lot of the problem is roaming cats across their property and the dogs chase them.

If this letter offends the neighbours with their dogs, so be it.
