The three northern suburb electorates are considered safe Liberal seats with margins of 11.2, 8.9 and 6.3 per cent respectively.
Cowan MHR Luke Simpkins said the polls showed it was ‘going reasonably well for us’. ‘But you would be mad to take anything for granted in this world,’ he said. ‘Hopefully, they turn out to be accurate.’
Cowan Labor candidate Tristan Cockman said he was not aware of any internal party polling for the seat.
‘I think it’s not impossible to win and we have run a very strong campaign for a long time,’ he said. ‘We are hoping for the best and we will see what happens on election day.’
