These works, and many others by the artists, will feature at the Brief Moments of Sanity exhibition at Joondalup’s Blend(er) gallery from September 15.
Davies said themes of life, love, bereavement, aspirations, spirituality, morning tea and even kebabs inspired the paintings.
‘The reason the paintings are very different is because they both include aspects from our past that the song reminded us of and therefore they aren’t just interpretations of the music or the lyrics,’ he said.
With full-time jobs and families, time spent painting is often when the artists feel most relaxed and sane, inspiring the name of the exhibition.
The inspirational song will play at the exhibition at 4/48 Central Walk, Joondalup from 2pm.
