Many cold-hearted people ignored her and walked or drove past her in their cars.

This type of reprehensible behaviour would not have happened in a small rural town where there is still a great community spirit.

I hope all the callous people who ignored this girl’s cries may some day be in a similar painful position.

Perhaps these people should read the parable of the Good Samaritan in the Bible and learn something worthwhile.
