Police on hunt for fuel thief

Staff ReporterNorth Coast Times

Releasing an image of the man, Senior Constable Graham Webster said he pulled up to the fuel station in a silver Holden Commodore displaying green ‘P’ plates about 2.40pm on May 13.

‘A devious driver disguised his number plates in an attempt to avoid capture after driving off without paying for fuel,’ he said.

‘The last two numbers of the registration plate had been covered with ’44’ making the false registration plate 1EBP044.

‘After filling up his car he has driven away from the service station, making no attempt to pay for the fuel.’
