WILLETTON continued its dominance against Midland Guildford throughout day two of its two-day clash, culminating in a comfortable nine-wicket win at Lilac Hill on Saturday afternoon.
Entering the day at 2-70, Willetton pushed hard for the remainder of its first innings, eventually declaring at 9-200 after Kallen Bond (50) and captain Matthew Johnston (45) attacked throughout.
After being sent back in to bat, Midland Guildford struggled to reach Willetton’s first innings total as Matt Hanna continued his domination with the ball from day one.

READ NOWThe only resistance for Midland Guildford came from Austin Thomas, who scored a hard-fought 45 and Keaton Critchell, who managed 31 before being bowled by Johnston.
Hanna took out the tailenders, finishing with brilliant figures of 7-44 and keeping the opposition to 148.
With the small total of 55 to chase down, Willetton wasted no time in getting the runs on the board, hitting the winning runs in the 13th over.
