MORE than a 1000 students have been told to stay away from school today after classes were cancelled at Kalamunda Senior High School due to a burst water main.

A Department of Education spokesperson said parents were contacted before school this morning to advise them that the school would be closed for the day.

“A water pipe that supplies water to the school has burst and water has been turned off while plumbers are resolving the issue,” the spokesperson said.”
