Falcon resident climbs to the top at National Bouldering Championships

FALCON resident Michael Draper snatched the Open B Boulder rock climbing title last weekend at the 2017 National Bouldering championships held in Sydney.

Mr Draper initially started climbing two years ago at the gym to ease his bad back.

He said he was shocked to win the champion award.

“The crowd was absolutely massive and I was so nervous to be the last one on the climbs but then everyone started cheering me on and all my nerves faded away,” he said,

“All the competitors were supportive and friendly despite the competitive nature of the event.”
