Fake rates notices: City of Mandurah says rates notices sent by SMS not authorised

Vanessa SchmittMandurah Coastal Times

THE City of Mandurah has issued a warning about fake rates notices.

A spokeswoman said an SMS message was being sent to members of the community advising them their rates were due and providing a link for payment.

“This message has not been authorised by the City of Mandurah and we would never provide a link for payment in the SMS,” she said.
