If one day of electrifying sets from some of the world’s biggest DJs on Cottesloe Beach wasn’t enough, Electric Island is doubling the fun when it returns to WA shores this weekend.

After an explosive WA debut last year which saw thousands of dance and house music lovers descend on Cottesloe Beach, the dance music festival is making its return across the weekend of April 6 and 7, headlined by one of the dance world’s biggest names: Armand Van Helden.

Van Helden has toured the globe on the back of hits My, My, My, You Don’t Know Me, Hear My Name and I Want Your Soul and is half of the chart-topping producer duo behind Duck Sauce and their infectious hit Barbara Streisand.

Change My Mind and Get Me High hit-maker Franky Wah, Miami-raised singer and producer Kristen Knight and Welsh Grammy nominee Sasha are also on the bill.

On the back of Sunday’s show selling out, the festival expanded to an extra day with an entirely different line-up for Saturday, headlined by Aussie house music export Sonny Fodera.

The London-based music producer has been praised as one of the most promising rising stars in the global dance music scene, with his hits clocking up more than 50 million streams online.

There are only final release tickets left for Saturday and T1000 Events promoter Damian Gelle expected it to sell out.

“We’ve always had a unique offering and I’m once again thrilled to be presenting some of the world’s greatest DJs across multiple states in unique settings,” he said.
