The City of South Perth is preparing to get ready to celebrate its annual Perfectly Queer festival.

The celebration — which will run from May 17 to June 28 — will include events such as Drag Bingo, a movie night and a life drawing class with contortionist drag king Jaxon Coke.

The city will also hold a discussion with trans non-binary author and advocate Seth Malacari and pronoun workshops hosted by gender and sexuality experts from Leederville-based organisation Freedom Centre.

“Perfectly Queer is designed to bring people together and foster a community that is accessible and inclusive for all,” South Perth CEO Mike Bradford said.

“By providing a platform for young LGBTIQA+ individuals to connect, learn and grow, Perfectly Queer plays a crucial role in building resilience, confidence, and self-empowerment.

“It’s also a lot of fun.”
