The Fremantle City Dockers Junior Football Club season may be over, but the young players have thrown their support behind their AFL namesakes.
Fremantle City Dockers spokesman Ben Meakins said it was great to feel like part of the team they supported, and the team was a great example for the children to see that determination and hard work could pay off.
‘The kids love getting to wear the same uniform as their heroes that they cheer on each weekend at the ground, or watching them on the TV with their families, and kids from other teams would always volunteer to wear our jumper if we ever needed to balance up numbers for a game,’ he said.
