SnapPerth: Roel Loopers loves everything about Freo

Jessica NicoFremantle Gazette

ROEL Loopers loves everything about the sights, sounds, smells and people of Fremantle.

It is rare that the Beaconsfield resident is not seen roaming around Fremantle camera in hand, taking snaps of his favourite places, unusual sights and weird and wonderful people.

Migrating from The Netherlands and living in Sydney before finally settling in Fremantle, Mr Loopers said he quickly fell in love with the area he has called home for more than 20 years.

“There are many things I love about Fremantle,” he said.

“The beautiful West End and port which I visit daily, the always engaged and passionate community, the festivals and markets, especially the Blessing of the Fleet, Growers Green Farmers Market and Street Arts Festival, and the many cute cafs and Bathers Beach.

“My favourite places to hang out in Fremantle are Chalkys Espresso Bar, Moore&Moore Cafe, Studio 37 at PS Art Space, Clancy’s Fish Pub, Strange Company and the South Beach Hotel.”
