The club, which is the local representative in the North Suburban Community Cricket Association, was established in 1989 and has grown thanks to community support and volunteering.

Club president Matthew Piazzola said the club expected to register more than 40 players for the 2013/14 season.

The Ballajura Club field four teams on Saturdays between October and March, with Tuesday and Thursday evenings reserved for club training. The cricket club will also begin a mentoring program with the Ballajura Junior Cricket Club’s under 17s side this season.
