Perth weather: sunshine on my window makes me happy

Mark DonaldsonEastern Reporter

HOPEFULLY you’ve got a patio television to watch the first Ashes Test because it would be a shame to be indoors over the next few days.

We’re heading for a lovely 31C today and it appears the temperature gauge will hover just above the sought-after 30C mark from Friday to Sunday.

A 32C maximum is forecast for tomorrow, a 31C max for Saturday and 32C max for Sunday.

You might want to get down to the beach this morning with offshore easterly winds at 20-30km/h easing to 10-20km/h before noon.

The breeze is expected switch onshore in the afternoon with south to southwesterly winds at 20-30km/h.

Morning and evening should be the best beach times from Friday to Sunday with easterlies predicted.

All this warmth over the next few days may just have you humming the lyrics to Australian band Spiderbait’s 1996 power pop track Calypso:

“Sunshine on my window, makes me happy, like I should be.”
