Sara FitzpatrickEastern Reporter

WE all know Mrs Claus likes to bake cookies, have fun with the elves and take care of Santa.

But did you know she also loves to bust a move?

She told Community Newspapers – all the way from the North Pole via phone – that she and reindeer Dancer went to the disco every Saturday night.

Boogieing will have to take a backward step soon, however, as Mrs Claus attends to Christmas duties.

“A woman’s work is never done – I have to supervise the workshop and all the elves and keep everyone in check,” Mrs Claus said.

“We have to make the presents, wrap them up and then load them onto the sleigh.

“We also do a lot of reading over Christmas: Santa reads every single letter.”

Before the big day arrives, Mrs Claus and Santa have a special event to attend.

“We’re going to be loading up all our special things from the North Pole, like my Christmas tree, and coming down a big magical slide and into the Crown Casino for Santa’s Magical Kingdom,” Mrs Claus said.

“The event will have a brand new international Christmas circus spectacular, with acts from all over the world and we also have our gingerbread stand where all the boys and girls can make their little gingerbread men.

“Children can also visit me at my house and write a letter to Santa and pop it into the box, and we have lots of rides and the winter wonderland – oh, it’s such a magical journey.”

Mrs Claus has a message for all the children looking forward to Christmas.

“We are watching all the time and we do know when you have been naughty and when you have been nice,” she said.

“So just remember you have a few more sleeps before Christmas to be good and help your parents the best you can, and Santa will be very kind to you.”
