City of Armadale’s annual Christmas Parade and Carols by Candlelight returns

Jessica NicoComment News

SANTA is pretty busy this time of the year, but he has still found an hour or two to drop into Armadale next Friday.

The Jull Street Mall and Memorial Park will be awash with festive colour, costumes and music as the City of Armadale’s annual Christmas Parade and Carols by Candlelight returns.

Armadale mayor Henry Zelones said the parade would include local organisations such as the Explosive Dance and Theatre Company, the Western Flames Drilldance Club, the Armadale Reptile Park and the Celtic Thistle Highland Dancers.

“The Christmas parade attracts thousands to the Jull Street Mall to enjoy dancing and performances from local groups, with the Rainbow Riding School joining in the parade for the first time this year,” he said.

“Be sure to collect your songbooks and LED candles for the Carols by Candlelight, held in Memorial Park, with performances by local schools and community choirs, supported with live music provided by the highly acclaimed and award winning Armadale City Concert Band.”

Locals are invited to bring non-perishable grocery items with them to donate to the Salvation Army Christmas Food Bank.

Armadale’s Christmas Parade and Carols by Candlelight will be on December 1 from 6pm to 8.30pm.
