It is further alleged the man then used the axe to smash a bathroom door and the windscreen and side windows of a vehicle at the home. No one was injured.

Investigations by Rockingham detectives led to a search warrant at a home in Kwinana yesterday.

During the search police seized various weapons, including knuckle dusters and nunchakus.

The man has been charged with two counts of criminal damage, one count of aggravated burglary, one count of being armed in a manner to cause fear, one count of possessing a controlled weapon and possessing a prohibited weapon.

He will appear in Rockingham Magistrates Court today.
