IT was a celebration of community, nature and food at the Bentley Community Garden Spring Open Day today.

Students from four local primary schools joined members of the wider community for the special event, which included garden tours and information, an essential oils workshop, seedling planting and the unveiling of a harmony and culture themed mural from Noongar artist Jade Dolman.

Bentley Community Garden’s Lynne Anderson said the event had been the garden’s first official Spring Open Day.
