Sneak Peek at 2016 Telethon Home

EXCITEMENT is once again mounting around the Telethon Home, one of the major fundraising events on the Telethon calendar each year.

This year’s home is the 11th consecutive residence built by In-Vogue for the auction event and is well under construction at Eden Beach estate in Jindalee.

The 2016 Eden Beach Telethon Home by In-Vogue has been custom designed to suit the 537sq m block, with the impressive exterior already starting to come to life.

In-Vogue general manager Jim Ilias, who has overseen the design and construction of the past 11 Telethon Homes, said his design team worked hard each year to create a breathtaking design for the much-loved charity home.

“The Telethon Home is a highlight for us every year,” Mr Ilias said.

“Our staff, together with an amazing group of suppliers and contractors, work tirelessly on the Telethon Home year round to create a beautiful home that will be treasured by the successful bidders on auction day as well as raise much-needed funds for Princess Margaret Hospital and the Telethon Kids Institute.”

Satterley Property Group and Ocean Spring Estate Pty Ltd, along with Eden Beach Estate’s other development partners, donated the prize block.

“Satterley has been developing beachside land for more than 30 years and that experience and expertise has been used to make Eden Beach the kind of relaxed, spacious and fun community the owners of this home will get to enjoy,” Satterley Property Group chief executive Nigel Satterley said.

“It’s all about sun, waves, sand and a lifestyle that lets you and your family bring the fun and relaxation of a beach holiday into your everyday life.”

As the striking street-front of the double-storey house takes shape, it will soon uncover a skillion roof, cantilevered portico and a feature blade wall set against warm-toned face-brick.

A sneak peek inside the Telethon Home also revealed a free-flowing, four-bedroom residence with a focus on bringing indoor and outdoor spaces together.

The home was designed to take advantage of the ocean views from the first floor, with the parents’ retreat on this level for a resort-style experience.

Maximising the space on the block, the house will have a home theatre room, an office as well as a kids’ zone with access to a private play area on the ground floor.

The main open-plan living area is of course the heart of the home and features an impressive kitchen with designer Neil Perry cooking appliances, an entertainer’s living room with a built-in gas fireplace and an outdoor area complete with a fire pit, barbecue area and a putting green.

The home will be auctioned on the October 16, with all proceeds going to Telethon.
