Wedding of the week: From competitive gravel rallying to walking down the aisle, Perth lovebirds tie the knot

Abbey and Dylan met over a shared passion and competitive streak for gravel rallying.

They went on to compete together and win the WA Championship in 2016.

The couple knew they wanted to tie the knot in WA’s breathtaking South West as it holds such a special place in their hearts.

When the anticipated day came around, it was full of surprises but in the best way possible, from Mark Turner and his light-up saxophone on the dance floor to a metre-wide pavlova constructed in front of guests thanks to local French patisserie Maison lassiaille.

Although it was a sweltering summer’s day of 37 degrees, it didn’t stop the couple nor their 100 guests from having the time of their lives.

Attire

The bride donned a spectacular gown by Melbourne designer Georgia Young, sourced by local boutique Noa Bridal. The groom opted for a classic black tuxedo from Joe Black.

Honeymoon

Plans are still being made, but the couple are tossing up between Hawaii and the Maldives to escape Perth’s winter this year.
